It’s not entirely clear what unit the number is in. Checked the manual and it’s a time-based distance to next car measure.

I actually filed a legal complaint about this. Ultimately the claim was rejected so no law in Denmark to protect against this [1]. Tesla was sentenced to pay me a small compensation ($800) for not getting proper consent for the update, but

Would feel like less of a money grab if they rolled this out with price reductions, given the increase in subscriptions I assume they expect as a consequence. They might even be able to sell it as a way to bring justice to those that do not

Absolutely, this is a central subject of study in Tactile Internet from what I’ve heard; next-gen backhaul/WAN technology. It starts with first hop to support local Tactile Internet networks. Private, ultra low latency 5G LANs are alre

If your threat model includes a compromise of Google (or your Google account), sure. You should also probably use a hardware TOTP device in that case. For most people, this is a sufficient level of security. It’s always a trade off between

This is only for S and X, which, as far as I know, still use 18650 cells by Panasonic, so this says nothing about Tesla battery tech. The really interesting thing is to see how their cost saving changes, especially the change to non-nickel

My Gameboy still works, my OnHubs are essentially bricked (unless you don’t need access to unimportant features like making changes to the Wi-Fi network settings and add nodes to the mesh network [1]) [1] https://support.google.c

As a Tesla owner with a model 3 that used to have radar until Tesla disabled it I find this argument funny. Radar failed when the front got covered in ice, that's about it. With Tesla Vision (camera only), it no longer has any active s

Absolutely not a coincident that Google is proposing a protocol that allows protocol level user tracking. By making the session ticket server-initiated and not client-controlled all control is also stripped from the user.
