Funny this ends up here. I was asking earlier on twitter today about whether there was a C# convention for naming private variables. Seems that it is indeed _variablename , while I don't know if I like it, it would seem that it is more comm

I don't know that this article actually says anything useful. It gives a very short high level overview of 3 non-relational databases and regurgitates quotes from another couple of blogs about databases from digg and friendfeed.

You can make that argument, but reality is that casual users do configure apache so it ends up becoming a concern of the developers whether they want it to be or not. Like I said, in the long run, it might be better to make the switch, but

How are we unique? Do you know there is no other life in the universe similar to us? Can you prove there is no other life in the universe similar(or the same) as us? What do we have a connection to? God? Am I less significant because I don'

Are you saying its not possible? I don't know if I agree with Freaky, but I learned a long time ago to be hesitant saying anything is impossible.

Maybe. It could just mean that they are going to make Oracle software work better with the SPARC/Solaris stuff. As to be able to sell the software for other platforms as well as give you a reason to buy SPARC Boxes from them in the future.

Its a neat idea, but I would echo the sentiment brought up in the thread linked that casual users would have a much harder time with a lua config in comparison to the current one. Its probably a good idea to move in this direction in the lo

I'm not American, but I don't see anything particularly wrong with either of these assignments you mention. It kind of falls along the lines of the JFK speech "Don’t ask what your country can do for you. Ask instead what you can do for your

One reason why a company would want to store credit card data is to make it easier for returning customers to purchase things. Besides the fact that I am paranoid, the reason why I don't keep my cc data with amazon is that I know that if I
