But then you're saying that the definition has always been wrong, which is a very different claim. I personally think that claiming a definition has always been wrong is vacuous. Just substitute the word in your head for something else

I don't see the issue here. The exact same definition of "few shot learning" has been used for at least 20 years. Nothing changed with the GPT-3 paper. The definition is something like Given a task, a few shot learner is an a

Since this still isn't being said enough, the ChatGPT model will give you responses like this without any clever "prompt injection" or anything like that. People keep noticing that clever inputs cause the desired outputs, but

I encountered a similar bug at the same company with far worse results. Won't say any specifics about the product impact, but our backend passed around two different kinds of user IDs. Each user had two different IDs, and the ID spaces

I think a lot of this is just bad experiment design. I was able to replicate all the "bad" responses without any clever prompting. I just clicked "Try again" a few times or added irrelevant detail to the prompt. I suspec

I guess I'm using the word "matters" differently. I'm using "matters" to mean, "we ought to consider this when we think about the justice or morality of the situation". Similar to "relevant"

No, reread. Both are true, both matter. It's true that apple would not allow the scheme described. It's true that it's similar to gas on Ethereum. But there are also differences that are important.

This is true and matters, but there is a key difference that affects our sense of justice and morality. Coinbase didn't create Ethereum, and the vast majority of Ethereum stakeholders are not apps on the app store. The fact that ETH ga

This is only true if you take just one capture. On Pixel, iPhone, and others we take many small captures and merge them together. There's lots of cleverness there and it allows you to have less noise without motion blur or blowing out

All of these points are good advice in any machine learning application. When I interview engineers and researchers for machine learning roles, these are some of the bullet points Google looks for.

I added grain to an image pipeline that's fairly widely used (millions of devices). I found that simple poisson noise in linear space with a bit of filtering gives a decent natural look with very low complexity.

No, they are different because of how the UI works (also different on TikTok). On facebook, you have to "enter into" a comment thread. Doing so makes it harder to scroll and causes you to consume less content. On Instagram this ac
