"because they then scale down the amount of power they generate" They spend 0.12 for power that would have cost them much less than 0.12 to generate. The consequence is that they make up for it by charging other customers more.

Is anyone familiar with Instagram's cinder? https://github.com/facebookincubator/cinder cinder includes changes for immutable module objects. I wonder if the implementation is similar? Or is cinder so old that it

They are sigmoids, but for some the plateau is 30 years in the future with a 5T market cap. For example Facebook's revenue is still increasing at an increasing rate, 21 years later

Thanks, yes makes sense. BTW, I have noticed that when tested outside GCP, the OpenAI compat endpoint has significantly lower latency for most requests (vs using the genai library). VertexAI is better than both. Any idea why or if that will

It's not a myth at all, off the top of my head I know of at least two cases studies including the study that led to the discovery that remdesivir may treat polio https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10022663&#x

I largely agree, but there is essentially no possibility of ever eradicating polio with the current OPV strategy. If you stop vaccinating, cVDPV will spread person to person. Some people carry virus for decades and it can become infectious

OPV unfortunately does cause paralytic polio disease indirectly by infecting unvaccinated people. It's worth it IMO because the total number of paralyzed people has decreased, but in the long term we have to switch to IPV to completely

There are issues with the oral vaccines, but what you're saying is completely untrue. The total number of paralyzed kids has gone down dramatically as a result of the work Gates has done. By any metric, this is a good thing

If you're on cloud run it should just work automatically. For deploying, on GitHub I just use a special service account for CI/CD and put the json payload in an environment secret like an API key. The only extra thing is that you

OpenAI compatible API is missing important parameters, for example I don't think there is a way to disable flash 2 thinking with it. Vertex AI is for grpc, service auth, and region control (amongst other things). Ensuring data remains

It currently costs around $2200 to run Gemini flash lite on all of Wikipedia English. It would probably cost around 10x that much to run sentiment analysis on every Yelp review ever posted. It's true that LLMs still cost a lot for some

Public sector pay does not cause better outcomes in SF. They are not correlated and what you just quoted doesn't make that claim. Specifically, it's compatible with what I actually believe, which is that public sector pay has been
