I'm just curious (and not trying to be a dick), but how come you didn't come across the product sooner? It seems that it had huge appeal.

I wouldn't worry too much about the length of the story - it's probably just an outlier that comes with your style of interviewing.

I think the two points that seemed different than your previous interviews: 1. The story about your wife's WP hosting was a bit long. It seemed like you were trying to sell the purpose of Mr. Cohen's service but the story was a bit long-w

I wasn't so much concerned with the blogger's views (which I disagree with as well), as I was with your fear of the trend of gamification. How come a love of computing can't be born inside a game consisting of building programs for points?

The only way to be introduced to a discipline is extrinsically. It's impossible to wake up and enjoy Computing Science - one must have had an introduction to it in some form. The idea behind the "gamification" of education is not to trick

If you're writing to do lists after Y Combinator, you're probably writing them before too - which means you're already ahead of a lot of people (motivationally speaking).

If the number of quality mentors grows to such a size that you can handle both tasks at the same time, will you run simultaneous/staggered cycles?

There's a difference between the syntax of your code and the program as a whole. We're all able to express our ideas perfectly (or near-perfectly) with the English language. Subjects, nouns, punctuation - those are relatively easy things.

I signed up for beta. One question, what happens if there comes a time when I want to roll out to two, or three, or four products? Can I host them all on the same ShopLocket page?
