This shouldn't be a surprise at all. Using Tor hides your location, so they assume you are foreign unless proven otherwise. If I were to agree with the law that allows all of the snooping that the NSA does, I'd say this is pretty

No, because 3D works by showing a different image to each eye. What you propose would show both images to both eyes, and you would get the same thing as when you look at current 3D displays without the proper 3D glasses; the two images past

Firefox (nightly) and chromium don't ignore the trailing dot either and both display an invalid certificate error.

Single domain SSL certificates don't cost a lot of money or are even free[1] which are ideal for small/personal websites. Won't solve the three problems you listed, but saves you the trouble of installing your own personal root across your
