GitJournal is great but for 100% support on mobile one can run Emacs directly on their phone using Termux on Android and iSH on iOS.

It actually has a positive impact on the Internet speed! Your DNS results are cached locally so the latency is very low, plus blocking ads at the DNS level means you're not even downloading the ad creatives, resulting in a higher speed

I don't think the point is to hide its real location or to hide secrets, but to be able to build services that comply with US classification levels (sensitive, secret, top secret).

I'm a French citizen living in Canada and going fairly often to the US by bus. They do it at land borders too, it's just that Canadian citizens are exempt.
