For the provider, this was primarily a reference to the potential emotional rollercoaster of CPR (depending on how empathetic you are).

CPR is brutal, both for the person receiving it and the person providing it. You crack the person's ribs and end up mushifying their chest if you persist in doing CPR too long. The other thing is without an AED (a defibrillator) the su

Sounds like a solid reason to null route the offending netblock or depeer entirely. If Google is hosting an abusive user/users and isn't willing to remediate the issue, there is no reason to glad hand them.

There are band filters and such on legacy, fully analog systems. G.711 (which is standard now for non-cellular call audio) is a step down, but Opus at 16Kbps sounds better to me than a classic, full analog system due to the lack of band cut

Backups are low priority for Signal, and they don't want to make security compromising choices like WhatsApp does with backing up. It'd still be nice if the UX and reliability of restoring from backups could be improved.

I'd disagree, for R&D of novel technology there is a lot to be said for casual contributions. If ML was open source, the state of the industry would almost assuredly be better than the current state of things.
