Good point. Im thinking about the best way to implement that.

Web version doesn't require signup - https://telescope.surf . Considering opening up iOS app as well.

I disabled it because it looked awkward reading a feed in small height window. I'll test again and reconsider it.

Just the db limit, but yes increasing to 128 shouldn't be an issue. Edit: Passwords are stored with bcrypt hash. That's right password limit shouldn't matter.

by meteor333 8y ago
Thank you. That helps.
66.
by meteor333 8y ago
Correct. Sorry about that. I'll fix that to have instant feedback and uncheck only if server throws an error.

by meteor333 8y ago
Can you elaborate on that? Currently the social feature I have is that you can upvote the posts and your feed is compiled based on the upvotes it received across the Telescope community.

Sorry didn't think about that. Can you tell me what is generally accepted limit for password managers or in general?
69.
by meteor333 8y ago
That's very neat. Great job! I'll give this a try.

Thank you for being the regular user! Let me know how i can improve it.

Registration is to help you save your feed preferences. Web version is open for all - https://telescope.surf

by meteor333 8y ago
Sorry categorization is not perfect yet. Still working on it.

Both have the same TOS. We are in process of forming an entity. It will be updated soon.

by meteor333 8y ago
Thanks for pointing it out. Let me check and increase the limit. Edit: Its fixed now. Increased to 128

by meteor333 8y ago
Sorry not yet. Hopefully ill be able to get to it soon. Please check out web version meantime - https://telescope.surf

The focus is more on a central home feed which shows posts based community votes, very similar to reddit or HN

thanks that's helpful. How many users/customers did you before you did any content marketing? How much do you currently spend on advertising?
79.
by meteor333 9y ago
I'm genuinely curious on how people find new customers or get people on your website? Is it based on referrals, advertising? I've struggled with outreach and getting first 100-1,000 on simply on the website, let alone signing up.

Wow! that's impressive!

That make sense. In that case, wouldn't these boosters be useful in future Falcon Heavy launches? Why can't they be resued?

by meteor333 9y ago
> Those two boosters, which were used in previous launches of SpaceX's workhorse Falcon 9 rocket, will not be reused again, Musk said in a post-launch news conference last week. Why did SpaceX spend resources to get them to safe lan

It would be great, if you can write a dedicated post on it. Im interested to learn more tips. Thanks

no sorry i don't, but point noted. I'll add the support soon.

Thank you! I called it reddit-style because it litterally aggregates all social shares it received on fb, linked and reddit and sorts it with the similar algo reddit uses. I hope you like it.

by meteor333 9y ago
On that lines shameless plug on the app I built which is RSS reader but allows one to see their posts sorted like reddit-style - https://telescope.surf

by meteor333 9y ago
I realized instead of giving whole text and blabbering about the app, its best to send people directly to the page. Apologies.
