Using this with my mom. Not perfect but good. Drawbacks: 1. No way to create an entry to just check visual voicemail. 2. Images shared in messages cannot be expanded. 3. Can't leverage face unlock now. Meh. But, overall better than the

Agree. Security was the distraction but the goal was to degrade opposition and deflect judgement by playing on inclusive vs. those not us. I posted because many may think what we are stepping into is new or "unprecedented" but the

I understand what you mean. I look at some comments now as feeling like they are just AI generated. Factual and soft but reserved/flexible opinions etc.

I would stay with Nextcloud but maybe ditch the AIO. If you are not locally hosting, then look at Opalstack. I've been happy with them on my Mastodon instance there.

I think I bought Postbox years ago to support them and used them briefly, but wasn't enough at the time I wish them the best, but I do wish they would have continued to innovate in this space.

Thank you and this is more of the spirit I wish to take from the 'founder mode' construct...

Appreciate the added depth around the addition consequences of founder mode. I worry that 'founder mode' will be taken as 'be an a-hole' v2 or something as v1 was to mimic the success of Steve Jobs. Being an a-hole was a

GoDaddy customer or hosted IP ranges "secure server" are usually pretty bad around port scanning other sites and general bad behavior. It's not a surprise the block would be nixed. If it's just to harvest content, then i

Don't know what I would do now after such a long time with tab stacks and workspaces in Vivaldi on Linux. Renaming individual tabs might come in handy from time to time for demo setups to name tabs through a demo progression.

There used to need to be more of a delay on hardware and drivers with Debian but not so much anymore. I've been very happy over the last year with Debian 12.x on my Gen 10 Carbon X1 and leveraging https://git.kernel.org/

This is where I am landing as well after a long time with XFCE on Debian. You have to take some time to set panels and applets up and get some Spice applets and you are all set.

It's been the best option for a while now on Linux IMHO. I was a long time SnagIt user on Windows and when I went Linux full-time, I tried all different options but the ability to snapshot and markup quickly are key. Works well in XFCE

Because many want a website that is accessible and more of a whiteboard than a piece of art. WordPress, if maintained properly, gives a chance at that.

Cool. Love and have embraced Mermaid but dang some limits around ERDs is a bummer. Will keep working on it and hope it will continue to improve. This is great. Thanks.

Interesting. I have been spending a lot of time with Mermaidjs for the last year or so and love it but not around ERDs because of the inability to map field relationships the way I want. I will check this out.

This is unfortunate but not unexpected. The whole non-Apple ecosystem is a cluster. I can tell you though I have been very happy with Withings. I loved my Fitbits and they went south post-Google. I was not into charging a watch every day wi
