Ok, Comical Ali!! EDIT: There's a point where engaging with nutjobs is mostly about the fun of it and warning others, whether it's the doomsday corona types or bizarre extreme deniers. You're part of the very rare latter grou

Last I heard the number of 'mild' cases was very low, and low enough to not make it a talking point as far as diminishing the seriousness of the situation.

I'm too lazy to cite sources but I'll say I've read plenty that confirm that it is not 'airborne'. Nonetheless, I understand that it's aerosolised and this does carry further than just a sneeze to the face. So,

Why would Google voluntarily do such a thing when profit is their main motive, though? Short-term, probably, practically speaking.

It depends. I find that the lack of massive volume of communication that is face-to-face can be beneficial, but often it needs to be more structured. Without this structure, non-FtF communication is just FtF without the nuances.

If anything, it's the other way around. We can call out someone for being a hypocrite or smug, if we so desire, but it shouldn't change the calculus.

I think that it's possible, but unlikely, that this will 'blow over' and turn out to be a tempest in a teacup. But I also think that it is extremely worrying that this 'HN/internet hysteria' has so rapidly beco

I think that's a fallacy fallacy right there, but I also think fallacies can be fun responses to stupidity. Fallacy is a strange word. Fallacy.

I'd say the vast majority of people that I know don't have such a reserve, and are seriously considering it now. If they all go and stock up, what with the JIT-style of many supermarkets, I wouldn't be surprised to encounter

Oh hey guys, Comical Ali is back[1]! In all seriousness, I'm truly baffled what motivates you to stand out so strongly in your anti-hysteria hysteria. I mean, I'm the anxious type who just like to prepare for stuff just in case, e

The number of people I've seen 'properly' covering their mouth when they sneezed, with their hand instead of, say, elbow sleeve, and then touching all the things, is worrying.
