Related: I can tell you that the publishing industry is very active on Twitter. Search for the usual hashtags and you'll find editors who may be able to help field questions!

You know, this kind of article pops up on HN every couple of months. And of course this is fine - it's great that people are posting about their experiences using a piece of technology! But please do take caution to do your own benchma

I'll clarify, thanks for the feedback. The fee gives you access for a month, but there's no recurring charge.

Thanks! I found the same thing - no combination of google search terms yielded an easy way to do this! I originally made this as a script for wedding planning. Maybe someone else will find it useful too.

Haha, thank you for this! You must forgive me ("the GP") for being bemused by the textual analysis you have written in defense of my comment!

I don't understand the negativity in this thread. Or why people are using this post as an impetus to (ostensibly) move to gitlab. Or lament the decline and fall of github. Nobody is forcing anyone to use Jira. Nobody is forcing anyone

My favorite is "Good Country People." A fable, in some sense, for those of us who sometimes find that we're a little more confident than we have a right to be.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks, and it works really (surprisingly!) well. Would have loved better examples to get started, but all I had to do was replace the connection string.

I'm curious (genuinely) - is there evidence that this form of marketing is effective in terms of ROI? My initial reaction would be that people are savvy to the fact these are paid posts, but perhaps I'm just not the target market!

Agree with this. Same applies to any expert: how do you identify an experienced marketer? Or accountant?

This is interesting - many of the comments here are correctly asking "what if you don't know an expert to help vet the engineers and the system?" I feel the same way when trying to find dentists or accountants. I simply don&#

Genuine question: one reason everyone moved to Gmail is because it was so damn good at spam filtering. What do you use today? Spamassasin out of the box? Or plugins or modifications? Or something else entirely?

This is neat! To all of the naysayers - submitting to messageboards is a perfectly fine way to get the word out about a product! Plus, I'd expect it to help with its googlability. There's no question that it is better to talk to a

Neat! Just one piece of feedback - for your diminished chord, you spell C dim as C, Eb, F#. Technically this should be C, Eb, Gb. This is because the definition of a diminished is two minor thirds, and the way you have it spelled is a minor
