Some states do have a way to become barred without starting from zero if you are barred in CA. For example in WA you still have to take a test, but it isn't a full three-day bar exam.

I usually develop locally with the vscode debugger. On staging servers I often do remote vscode sessions also. On production I often use the REPL since I don’t want to install additional tools, but still need to inspect the state of a pipel

Lots to digest here! I have been keeping an eye on Pijul so it is cool to see some of its features implemented in jj. Sapling[0], similarly, is a new VCS tool out there which can work with a git repo. It also has anonymous branches, no stag

The bowl in this video has a flat-ish rim so I expect that there’s no contention but an oversight of the video.

Curious if the layoffs factor in to the decline in a statistically significant way? I wouldn’t expect that to account for all of the changes but maybe that accounts for some.

Yes, although it is pretty good. My gas currently costs only 14 cents per mile so the other 51.5 cents needs to cover the cost for insurance and maintenance and the purchase price which can mean that you could come out ahead or behind depen

I would guess even lower than those estimates. Companies only pay a fraction of the gas mileage used on a car for work purposes: I expect they wouldn’t be on the hook for even the full percentage of electricity and data for work devices use

I haven't often been the designer of code others have used, but I have used someone else's wrappers for libraries that we use in many parts of our code. My experience of trying to use their wrappers has been a guessing game of how

I am excited for the typeddict additions, but it looks like there’s still some work around unpacking needed before we can use it to get around using kwargs to forward arguments from one function to another without having to know the other’s

Maybe the recent ctrl-r behavior changes: https://fishshell.com/docs/current/relnotes.html#fish-3-6-0-... do what you want?

Fish has some options for that via `fish_config`: https://fishshell.com/docs/current/cmds/fish_config.html . You can use the browser tool or `fish_config theme ...` to find colors that work better.

In some cases you can also do: x = x or [] Your method is best when you might get falsy values but if that’s not an issue the `or` method is handy.
