   First off, I didn't downvote you. However, the comparison is wrong imho because disk storage is not simply about storing information. Disks also need fast read/write access, which DNA certainly doesn't have for us (for now?).

   That's very interesting because with increasingly lower limits this argumentation becomes less convincing. I can imagine many people using up their 500MB with their smartphones in the near future, if they don't already.

   I think you may have misread something there. The link clearly says: "Specifically, we are supporting the WebM (VP8) and Theora video codecs, and will consider adding support for other high-quality open codecs in the future. "
