This just proved a bullet can change politics that can't be changed by money, voting or being a politician.

Right but you forgot PowerDNS which is rare to be able to support RDBMS as its native backend with third party web UI and there's also CoreDNS which is pluggable and graduated as a CNCF project.

I've used currying in the past but these articles don't really make you tick at all as they introduce the concept first, which doesn't mean anything until you realize you actually need it to solve a problem you may encounter

If BSD can run existing Docker ecosystem, then suddenly FreeBSD becomes a candidate for use. Though I don't find anything better than Linux, it's not lacking either.

The fact BSD can't run Docker with its vast ecosystem is already a show stopper. Also having little glitches by tiny differences in shell handling make your already tuned Linux dotfiles incompatible that adds to the annoyances. And the

Never seriously used Linux desktop but before several versions of RH, packages were so much older than Ubuntu, it was pretty impractical to use CentOS but people who don't know a thing about servers always chose CentOS because when the

Not sure why you limit that to desktop. It's more important that server files can have an instant snapshot, compression and performant incremental backup to remote servers.

This is the company that every dictator wants to have which can literally control the world if it wanted. It has so many of the electronics under its hostage, no one can make a deal if it went out of control, except by violence. Yet, still

Before people explore stuff that may not matter, I just don't understand why people don't just graduate writing raw HTML and write something like Pug which is like saving 30% typing that doesn't break or change your workflow.

Hate going back and forth HTML and CSS just to give it a different margin that ends up making the CSS hundreds of lines long, making it hard to go through without searching in the editor. And you have no visual understanding in the HTML of

I treat zfs far more reliable than restic which is still rough around the edges the last time I tried a few years ago. Run rsync to the target and forget is quite easy, though I admit rsync.net's deal is getting worse these days posing
