It's funny because I found a way to disable auto update for snaps in 2 minutes by Googling and half of the angry voices in gere are because of auto updates. What is going on?

If the reason of snapping is that their preference isn't the default, life must be quite tough for them. If there's an option, live with it and change it. I can't see what's so destructive about snaps. It's probably

I was there during the transition. Even rewrote a site from perl to PHP. For newbies, not having have to write the "magic" string, print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n"; before being able to output anything pro

What did you try? While I agree nothing works perfectly, FileRun or SeaFile does at least work more reliably than NextCloud, though there aren't as many integrations as NextCloud has.

People should realize the best part of Netdata is that it can export data to be stored for Grafana to consume. I don't like its own UI but no need to use it and it can easily gather metrics from systemd services and containers.

Don't use Grafana for logs. Its (or any other basically, including Kibana or Graylog) interface sucks and I used Metabase which has much more friendly interface to show logs in tabular format instead of throwing raw logs like the other

It's about working on a remote server. Use whatever GUI editor you wish for local use. VScode can also work on remote files but not as flexibly as running vim on the server side.

Sounds like it was whether Python or Ruby is more popular back then, which was won by Python but then people still preferred Ruby because of its elegant language design and those voices seem finally heard around enough. I even see Crystal (

When could ext4's specification change? It's not just the MS implementation that might break but everybody's file system may be in danger. Filesystem is supposed to be as backward compatible as it should be.

Thank you for the response and sorry for not doing the homework there. Looking forward to seeing the project take off as we need to glue stuff together from various projects to achieve your goal now.

Does it work well to store logs? I thought it's great for metrics.

I think what matters is the interface. A clean interface to read structured logs in table view than throw raw text at the user like many products do and nice way to filter them. Loki + Grafana isn't really good for log viewing at all.

Why do you want to replace Sentry? It's mature and works well. Not sure how the license makes a difference in terms of being a value to your day to day development. But I do love projects that can be self hosted, so Sentry is very nice

What amount of Chinese users frequent English sites? Do they have Chinese equivalent of HN? Also I wonder how many percentage of Chinese are capable of sufficiently understanding English to frequent English sites.

Sounds natural as they use English as a native language. I doubt Asian people are as fluent in English as European people. Possibly certain amount of numbers from those countries are native speakers living there.
