I'm afraid there may be less open source projects in the future as if you become successful by being community driven open source, you get run over by AWS once you get big enough and the project will end up being more closed to only of

If what you only say is, it is backed, without proof, how hard is it to imagine to get down voted? If you have a proof to back your claim, feel free to share to get the upvote you're looking for.

No, people sell BTC to get Tether, in which case, what did the previous BTC owner buy if it's not backed up with USD?

Not to mention no one has a mental toughness to hold through every huge rally and dumps over the past 12 years and you'd be losing quite a bit of that anyway.

It's not just $... And why not just install jQuery? What's the big deal? Where can I find the short aliased library? (If it's not there, I guess it's not a popular idea.)

Feature parity isn't exactly the reason to drop it.... $ is easier to type than document.querySelector and it absorbs browser differences.

If you actually take the word "contribute" to a better degree, if a work can be done by anyone even though the society needs it, it's not much of a contribution.

(To the [deleted] sibling comment) Salary is a salary with a fixed value. If it's justified is what he does and not where he lives. He can live like a celebrity and waste it all or can live like a student to save, that is up to the dev

Are you suggesting one should pay more because his living expense is higher than the other? You should pay for how much is being contributed. The only thing that should lower the pay is developer's own satisfaction. In other words, one
