First, you don’t let people read and type commands by hand. Second, hire a better guy than someone who blindly does sudo because the command didn’t work.

Seriously, start using trash-cli. Even Windows from 30 years ago had a recycle bin. I can’t grasp how “power users” like Linux users are stuck working in primitive environments.

What kind of stupid advice is that? How do you want to roll back a change of a specific feature if multiple works are committed at once.

Seriously, these days, running a few dozen containers requires so much ram, I'm running a Odroid with 32GB ram and finally feeling safe from memory exhaustion.

What matters is how inbox providers look at the source IP. At least delivery services have higher chance by filtering obvious outgoing spam than a rogue server IP.

Where did you get the idea of $100/mo? SendGrid has 100 emails per day free tier and PostMark has 100 free emails per month and basic plan is $15/mo. If it doesn’t work without a middleman then it doesn’t make sense to run your ow

It’s not about having tons of files but compression, snapshot and ease of management to cut out any size from a pool.

Why not use SendGrid/Postmark or some other delivery service and forget about using a random untrusted IP.

Trick is to just use delivery service like SendGrid or PostMark and as long as your domain isn't brand new and the content doesn't smell phishy, you should have a decent chance. Don't try with a random IP that server vendors

Do you run a ssh terminal on phone to read email? I suppose it takes a few steps to attach a file from the phone.

People don't realize they don't have to stick to a single shell for both scripting and terminal use. I use zsh with plugins which pretty much makes it act like fish's convenience but one can use fish as their shell scripting

A good example of how no money can guarantee a timely quality release. It only makes people lazy when they realize they have decades of time to waste.

I can't believe at this day, many products don't care about mobile viewing. I thought it makes a big sense to write documents on PC and then view it elsewhere out there but developers don't seem to care about that usage. Docm

If you'd done that 20 years ago, we'd been on the same page :) Though back then, I learnt well from Gentoo by setting the system up from stage 1, which was a good knowledge to keep when trying to fix things such as handling partit

If you're in an environment to use GUI, there are plenty other more featureful alternatives. But good terminal editors are rare to be used within SSH sessions. (Vs code can do but editing root owned files aren't easy)

People can spend hours to initially set their environment up but the original post was about having it broken after a period of usage which involves spending unnecessary amount of time fixing than do what they want to do.
