Funny how the software community could not separate software from politics two years ago when the conflict started in Ukraine! Most GitHub projects started including the Ukraine's flag, and some companies like JetBrains closed their o

I too have been worrying about SD card failures in my raspberries but haven’t had a single failure ever! My cards are read/write all Debian and have been running since 2016. I hope this post won’t jinx it but my entire data centre ha

The fact you achieved this with a query and graphiz is impressive! I wonder how much tweaks this query needs to make it work with DuckDB.

Read your comment and went to Amazon (UK) to buy one, but the description makes no claim of removing microplastics but mercury, lead, and the filter itself is made of plastics so I’m confused

Download count is an interesting measure but I can’t tell if urllib3 is more popular than request or it ranks higher up only because it’s a direct dependency of botocore! I wish there was a way to categorise these downloads by python versi

I don’t see a market need for a new one. Python’s own stdlib urllib is pretty good for most cases, except async, and aiohttp is covering that gap.

The author raises very valid points about DuckDuckGo and I would go further and say k don’t trust their privacy policy, but I think there’s lack of any better alternative.

The only useful types to add are Cython 3, otherwise adding more letters with no benefit reduces readability and reminds me of “public static void main”.

Islam and Arabic largely overlap but not every Islamic name is valid in Arabic. Given Daniel has a shrine in Iran it might be a valid name in Farsi. There’re biblical names in Arabic but they sound very different in Arabic than in Europe,
