I have been using duckdb files as caches infront of sql server for server side queries. Initially the cache was redis, but duckdb worked much better as the very same query that goes to sql can be send down to duckdb.

I agree too. Another example: I find early returns in functions easier to read than “else” with one “return” at the end. Basically vertically linear code as opposed to unnecessary branches and too much indentation, keeping the code slimme
