Yeah, I'm not sure they'll care. Bank of America did exactly this. :\ Maybe Citi will feel differently but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

I dunno, maybe it's better if no one does. I expect they'd just remove the feature instead of rewriting it.

Wondering how to avoid bifurcation of the discussion. If we can close/delete/merge one of these somehow that'd be nice (feel free to get rid of the one I posted, I don't care), but maybe it won't be necessary? I hav

Yeah, invading people's privacy always makes things easier for everyone else, doesn't it? Doesn't mean people who care about it don't want or deserve quality...

You know software with good UX used to exist before telemetry became a thing?

Yeah, like their privacy? Since when did getting a good product that respects your privacy become an oxymoron?

If you care about this, my suggestion is to lend a hand to https://github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium and help them find a way to make the transition between Chrome and Chromium more seamless.

Fun fact: you can do that for Windows too. It also works fine... assuming you can even boot it. :-) You need to make sure Windows is booting from something it sees as disk rather than a partition (i.e. include an MBR or something before

I remember loopback mounting always gave errors on shutdown when the file system was being unmounted. It seemed to me that it would unmount before caches were flushed, resulting in a need for fsck later (and possibly resulting in corruption
