Sounds like hell. I can't believe companies use such systems to manage their own employees. It tells a lot how bad managers do their work, which is basically know every employee and care for them.

Google's homepage is probably the most extreme example ever made for browser compatibility.

I know many great guys from Google, they take very seriously all browser compatibility. I cannot think any company who took browser compatibility to the levels of Google. This fellow just made a big mistake developing something particular f

This argument is silly. Imagine product managers writing software on top of the software engineers job. It will be caos. Roles were made to avoid that, so everyone can focus on the right role, task and purpose.

Did Apple started this idea of playing a sound on boot?

What was the idea behind of using a sound? It would be nice to know how they reached that idea.

I've completed the entire process to see the end result and I disliked it so much. In the end it's just a breadcrumb to particular style, which imho, doesn't kill anything. It's plain average result.

I started the process and on the first check, it told me this nonsense: "Inter is a fantastic, legible font, but it feels very neutral and clean. Instead, we want to find something with a bit more personality." The author asked me

Yes. The more older the project is usually goes with the avoidance of CSS-grid and other features.

Exactly. But we came from using Flex as the defacto system to do layouts and more, now with CSS-Grid it does make sense to use flex for what it was meant for.

I think the next challenge would be to have a native "masonry" grid feature. That would cover several usecases.

Yes, it is useful for inline positioning, ex. a menu, but for the rest of the things mostly css does solve it without having to do much.

Flex is becoming more and more irrelevant to do layouts. CSS Grid is really solid and it works well on responsive. The possibilities are endless.

Society is lost on silly causes. I wish they were aware of the encryption debate, privacy and less goverment. But all the signs goes in the opposite direction: more goverment control, more corpos control to censor, etc.

I've learned that creating a solution for a X problem doesn't really scale as I though. I focus more now on creating a neccessity more than trying to solve problems for people. If those needs solve one or several problems, great,
