They didn't ban the dictators and warlords who preach genocidal rhetoric every day. They didn't ban the constant death threats from teenagers against each other and random celebrities they felt like canceling that week. They didn&

Silicon Valley has failed humanity. The governments of the world must ban targeted algorithms and initiate antitrust enforcement against GAFA immediately so this can never happen again.

No shit. It wasn't some broken, barely adopted start up that created this mess. It was the largest social platform in the world where this insanity spread for years. Break up GAFA with antitrust laws.

Not just the IRL jannies, but the ones who police the platform too. They are contractors who make minimum wage and are exposed to horrors every single day with little psychological support.

Given our technological superiority over the majority of the world, why are states with far less resources vaccinating their populations so much faster? What can California do to streamline the process?

I am concerned this is being used as a pretext to ban encryption or push for backdoors.

Well, yeah, it's a dictatorship run by warlords. It turns out that once you shut down the leader of the world's largest empire, every tinpot thug who fears losing their ability to control their citizens will shut down access to yo

It's not apathy, it's fatigue. It's been 10 months of terror and horror and people use whatever mental tricks they can to stay sane.

You're 100 percent right.. i just think it's turned into a buzzword for "foreigners fighting amongst themselves" since the War on Terror began.

Tell that to my favorite ice cream shop that was smashed to bits on Melrose. Or the synagogues on Fairfax that were defiled. Or the vehicles all over DTLA that were set on fire. Or the man who died of smoke inhalation in a Minneapolis shop

I strongly disagree with Rowling's bizarre obsession but she faced months of death threats while Twitter looked the other way.

Of course I reported them. Nothing happened. Twitter was totally supportive of everything that happened in June. They even put up billboards bragging about how their platform helped protests grow. During a pandemic.

Yeah, the idea of GAFA as left wing is ludicrous. Sure, they plaster the internet with those ugly flat art cartoons of diverse people working together, (Corporate Memphis, I've learned the style is called) but they are anti-union, anti

Twitter didn't actively moderate the President, who broke every single policy in their rulebook, until he lost power. An argument could easily be made that they selectively enforce from that alone, but I don't see Parler's la

This is the ugly truth. Big Tech has monetized hate since 2014 by guiding users to extremist content. Their algorithms were designed to create profit above all. The cost? Democracy. Do not let GAFA evade responsibility just because they
