One of the issues with 'raising money' is that the investors typically want to see you spend it, to generate a return. VC were famous for this. Spending money, growing to the 'magic' 50 employees, etc. became full time j

I gave up on IPMI/DRAC/ILO on my old server equipment - it was the most fragile part of the machines. I ended up just getting a used Raritan IP KVM off ebay, and its worked perfectly.

I remember there used to be plugins for setting the UA to mimic popular browsers. I should see if I can dig one up. Thanks!

Thanks! I really should read up on this stuff at some point. I've actually never had to do any windows coding, so my knowledge about it is sorely lacking.

Wow...that was ... scary. At least now I know its not just me having these issues. Thanks!

Neat idea! TBH, I had no idea windows had security features like SRP.

I get annoyed with the 'think of the (metaphorical) children' school of safety. If you want to do something to improve people's safety awareness - make actual browser dialogs and chrome distinctive and unforgable (maybe a sp

yeah. I'm blind as a bat, so I only get 1 window per monitor anyway - so the extra space wouldn't be an issue. P.S. Am I the only one losing the fight with smaller pixels? As monitors get higher res, I keep having to increase th

by mech422 5y ago
yeah - the huge chunk of space between 'home' and the address field is just wasted..It's plenty big enough to shrink it a bit and add some 'outside' padding to the ends of the bar.
852.
by mech422 5y ago
I'd be happier if there was just more padding on the 'ends' of the address bar, and less padding 'internal' to it. The space between 'home' and address bar would be a lot more useful if it was split betwe

by mech422 5y ago
having some padding is nice to have a spot to 'grab' when you want to move windows around. Firefox chrome has gotten so small its a hard to find a 'safe' place to grab.
854.
by mech422 5y ago
I'm the opposite - I have 4K monitors, but it seems like there is no chrome left to grab when you want to move windows in 'modern' apps. Anyplace you click - does something you probably didn't want to do.

My typing class in high school only accepted perfect speed tests. No errors at all. Given how many typos I see in even business correspondence, I wonder if 'editing read through' has gone the way of the manual typewriter :-P

I also liked the stories about the space ship and crew... The angel one, and the guy in the sarcophagus were neat too. Oh - and the factory!
