Any real senior devs here using agentic coding?

If you work like this in a company, you’ll end up with overcomplicated mess. Now, people with Claude Code, are ready to produce a big pile of shit in a short time.

Are you serious? “Most of these were really boring and tedious to implement (basically a lot of special cases) and I wasn't sure which would work, so I had Claude try them all.” I doubt you verified the boring edge cases.

My colleague coded a feature with Code Claude in a day. The code looks good, also seemingly works. The code was reviewed and pushed out to production. The problem: there is no way, he verified the code in any way. The business logic behind

I’d test such scenarios as well. Run many real glibc resolvers for a while. Sooner or later caching issue would surface.

Just to be sure: electrified means hybrid and EV-s.

I would expect, that dns servers like 1.1.1.1 at this scale have integration tests running real resolvers, like the one in glibc. How come this issue was discovered only in production?

Instead of putting Copilot everywhere, Microsoft could hire some proper devs and qa to avoid such problems, But no, MS employs vibe-coders only and fired the entire qa team.

Of course the answer is “don’t be poor”. Just buy a house and install charger.

That’s actually pretty cool. But “price and range/charging speed” still applies. I can’t afford an expensive EV with fast charging, but I can afford a cheap ICE. I get it that in US people buy 100k cars as there is no tomorrow. But not

What’s your point? Can Renault 5 EV be charged in 30 min?
163.
▲

I see the confusion now. People assume everyone has the same resources as they do. Your point would be fine, if Renault 5 would be very cheap. But it’s not. It’s the car what many people can afford. Thinking that people have “misconceptions

Assuming car can charge that fast. This is why I said “price and range”. Renault 5 EV charges with 11kW.

Are you assuming 250kW chargers? …and cars which can charge that fast? Renault 5 EV charges with 11kW. This is the size of car I need.

That’s pretty cool! How does cold weather affect this? What about when there is no supercharger (I live in Germany)? Or driving faster, 160kmh/100mph in Germany is normal.

(Towing) You can fill it up in 5 min. Not true for EV.

Which EV can go 600 miles with one charge, or with so little charging? How much does that car cost? Are you assuming, that every charger on the way is 200kW?

How are you driving for 10 hours with only 80 min charging?

▲

That’s exactly the problem. I’d be happy to use an EV daily, as I drive short distances. But when I drive longer, then I don’t want to waste hours on charging. The other day I drove 700km in just about 5.5 hours (German Autobahn). Few stops

I disagree that EV-s are held back by misconceptions. More their price and range.

You can't be with your child 100% of the time. They are spending significant time with others, e.g. in school. Those people you can't control. Doomscrolling or porn is just too "appealing" to children, like sugar. Childr

Munich-Mühldorf regional train. Once it forgot to stop at Markt Schwaben (it always stops there). Passangers had to wait 30 min for the train to go back at the next station. Not even an apology.

No, I’m not upset. Private keys are necessary, that’s fine. Vivotek encrypts them additionaly, but stores the encryption keys right next to the encypted data. One could use TPM chip to store the keys, rather than such useless obscure encryp

In the morning I finished figuring out how Vivotek cameras store private keys for AWS KVS streaming. They are encrypted on disk. Disassembling some executables I managed to reverse engineer the encryption keys. Apparently Vivotek things ob
