Compared to both of them Chrome was technically miles better as well. And no, Firefox was stagnant. It actually saved web from IE.

I tried Firefox again, immediately encountered several crashes on youtube streaming and a few other places. Chrome it is for me.

It is not implemented, and ad blocking still works. Also they recently announced more changes to the proposal. To be fair they have some good reasons to change existing api. World is not ending yet.

Email is not something private by design. At least Google is a competent company when it comes to provide such services.

Theoretocally it might use signals when you are logged in, but Recaptcha also works when you are not logged into google. So, not really.

Fwiw, I don't see it as surveillance, it is trusting your data with them, might seem similar but a little bit different. Google in general a very good steward of private data if not the best. They don't sell it and provide tools t

In this case Chrome was actually miles better and secure than those old browsers though. It wasn't deceiving, it was the truth.

Eh, If they want, they can train Alpha zero in one day Leela can be trained in 10 years. In any case indeed Leela's progress is impressive.

Pretty sure Alpha zero would destroy Leela.

I think all things considered, today Chromium is probably 90% Google engineering. There is almost no Khtml code left and big chunks of webkit code are heavily modified and rewritten. Also, rendering engine is not the browser.

Yet, AMD looks way better considering all vulnerabilities reported so far. Why downplay this fact?

They have completely different architectures, some optimizations can be done in safer ways.

Bullshit, So far most vulnerabilities only affected Intel. Because of their choices in their design. AMD is way better, so far.

Sure, but please don't downplay this, so far Intel CPU's are affected by way more vulnerabilities that could be exploited much easily. It is a no brainer to pick if I have to choose between AMD and Intel today.

I think there is an expectation that Intel's new generation CPUs wont have these vulnerabilities and they will sell these a lot more to replace the piece of crap they have sold for ridiculous prices. Intel is actually probably happy ab
