I'm curious, what's your ideal political arrangement? How do you propose we provide for transportation infrastructure, medical services, police, fire departments, etc? I'm not convinced that abolishment of the state is possib

Is it weird that Google's mission statement doesn't describe their primary revenue stream? I suppose they could say that they're making information universally accessible and useful to individuals as well as advertisers. But

To be fair, the first one you cited is for Chrome packaged apps, so I feel like it's a little different than special APIs exposed to normal web page javascript. It's the difference between saying "build apps for our browser,

A Google recruiter actually told me that Google is "basically an advertising company." Then again, he was recruiting for an AdWords-related position, so his viewpoint may have been skewed.

Sincere question: do you feel that you, personally, have gained useful information from advertisements? Was it about a new kind of product or service that you didn't previously know about, or just a brand that was better than the ones

That's a good point to raise. Two questions: Would you agree that opinion manipulation in online reviews is already taking place? If so, would reducing the presence of explicitly-labelled advertisements result in an increase in covert
