I have a Phonegap App (Flapcast Mobile) that I think works quite well; The only thing that makes it feel like its not native is because I did the art and design myself and I'm not very good at that. There are plenty of (native) apps that d

Cool; There might be some interesting ways to plug it into the journal publishing software I work on (pkp.sfu.ca/ojs/).

And is there tracking code or some API available if authors don't want to/can't upload their papers to Academia.edu? Edit: Rephrased as a general question.

I can see this working out better for remote workers (like so many of us are). I don't know about other people, but I can pretty easily bring myself down to part time and work on the road -- on planes, in coffee shops around the world, etc

The concept is great, especially seeing the specific contributions legislators make (of course in this example all commits are coming from one guy, so not so useful here). I'd love to see this advance, as well as seeing more developments i

Isn't US law not public-domain anyway? Or at least on a state by state basis? I remember a copyright issue concerning someone reprinting some of Oregon's laws.

I'm surprised there isn't one here for law. Enough people want to know specific legal areas (not enough to practice, just enough to understand the system), that I think this could be a very interesting area to make a codeacademy-like site

Are you a web developer or otherwise? If you're a web developer, I recommend (in addition to Sublime Text 2 and other apps mentioned by other people here) Sequel Pro if you work with MySQL; TextWrangler/BBEdit for searching and editing tex

I'm still not clear on the value of finding the Higgs Boson or why its so exciting -- If I understand correctly, not finding it (or disproving it exists? Is that logically possible?) will force us to rewrite certain aspects of physics. Bu

I believe the only way to get two displays working though is to pass the second display through the first display (via thunderbolt). AFAIK, there is no adapter to split thunderbolt into two DVI/VGA/HDMI cables. Though I hope I'm wrong, I'
