If your makefiles use gnu-isms (which is a valid choice) then I would lean towards using GNUmakefile and have Makefile call gmake - and don’t forget to use $(MAKE) for any recursion. This is less fragile and requires less dependence on repl

Unfortunately, no. That is the case with GCCs __builtin functions. With a few exceptions, intrinsics are basically macros for inline asm that the compiler can reason about. If on x86-64 you use a _mm256* intrinsic and compile without AVX su

I’ve still got a chequebook. It is probably 20 years old. The last cheque I wrote was two years ago for a house deposit. I think the second last was 9 years before that for the deposit for our previous house.

This might not only be GUI vs cli, it can just be down to the granularity of your client mapping - if the p4 server thinks it needs to lock across large regions of depots it can go into the weeds. I always try to have the absolute minimum i

Avago isn’t even that clear cut. Avago sold SSD assets to Seagate, and then a bunch of other networking stuff as LSI/Axxia/Infineon to Intel. Then they picked up PLX and Emulex along the way. Broadcom had also acquired Netlogic&#x

The older Cathay seats were a fixed seat shell, but the padding could slide within the shell. Essentially the seat did slide forward and the back moved down with it, but the problem was that the belt was fixed in place in the seat shell. Fo

FWIW, frustratingly MSVC has no compiler options for generating SSE3/SSSE3 or SSE4.x code - you can get them from intrinsics, but the compiler flags are SSE/SSE2 (on ia32) and AVX/AVX2 only. https://msdn.microsoft.
