I really admire how much Notch seems to understand opposing viewpoints that most people would simply make inflammatory posts about. His diplomacy here, as well as with Bethesda, has been stellar: Not "Steam is a DRM-ridden mess that I woul

I have a DSL-only plan with AT&T. It works fine, but every time I call for support, they ask me for "the phone number on my account", and I have to re-explain ten times that I have only DSL, and not phone or TV service. Often I am t

I'd be surprised if it was common... if you think about it, startups are basically "20% projects" that everyone in the company is spending 100% of their time on. :-)

Why do people leave anywhere? If you can believe there's no such thing as "The One" in dating, for example, you can believe people have good reasons for leaving Google. It's all subjective, after all.

Maybe the guy you're replying to edited his post, but "If it's a JavaScript framework, please give code examples in JavaScript"--to me--reads as a rather polite request, rather than a dictum as you suggested.

I switched from screen to tmux about three months ago. It's easier to configure, does vertical splits, and is under more active development (apparently).

I don't think "disorder" and "collection of personality traits" are mutually exclusive terms.

My dad's advice was the last grain of rice. Getting diagnosed was the result of a long period of slowly accruing more information about the disorder. If you suspect you might have it, it's worth going to see a psychiatrist or psychologist
