For me the worst thing was the way it handles multiple devices -- AFAIK when there are few clients with the same priority connected, the server delivers messages completely arbitrarily, usually only to a one of them and based on some crazy

My observation is that only crazy people are seriously afraid of Russians, while the spirit of patronising Ukraine, Belarus and even Lithuania is pretty strong.

Poland already shares a border with Russia, so it doesn't matter. The support for the revolution seems mostly to come from a sort of post-collonial thinking that Ukrainians will praise Poles as saviours and the former sea-to-sea glory

E-mail was actually designed to just copy a message file from the sender's computer to the receiver's one; it is sad how it evolved into a plaintext database of private stuff hosted by third parties.

R is actually one of the most pure languages out there; it basically says "I have vectors; they can have missing values, be nested, and can have other vectors as attributes. And I have functions with lexical scoping. Now go and build t

Sure no; but 97% of OS problems are hardware problems and OS/X and Windows are lucky to have hardware makers care to optimise their product for them. Still, with some research _before_ buying you can get a perfectly flawless Linux expe

Not at all; LaTeX is a wrapper over TeX made exactly to hide all formatting routines behind structural declarations like \section, \itemize or \emph. To this end it is not really different from Markdown; yes, tokens require slightly more ke

C only has vectors (1D arrays), the implementation of higher dimensions is up to programmer. I know there is this idea to use vectors of vectors to emulate matrices but it is not at all a part of the language (nor efficient).

There is htmltex (i.e. almost full stack emitting HTML), it is called latexml. There is also a lot converters, most notably Pandoc. Still I 100% agree that even HTML is too primitive and too inconsistently implemented for scientific writing

With IEEE floats, 0 has a sign which can be used to denote the direction of the limit; if you try 1/(-0) in any program or language with sane numerics (i.e. not Excel or other dumb calculator emulators), it should give you -Infinity.

Two, well, issues from my experience with gitit (great software by the way): compilation may take huge amounts of RAM compared to what the webapp itself will later use -- it is likely that one will need to use some other, metal machine for

It seems so on a first glance, but if you think about how this 2D phagocyte can be formed (especially on a macroscopic scale) and how would it interact with other structures it becomes much less obvious.
