Came here to say that. Also, to some extent, Emacs. There are thousands of functions (actually, a bit less than 10k in stock Emacs without packages, and over 46k in my Emacs) performing various low-level tasks, and much fewer commands

My solution to this is to use Emacs whenever I can. (Almost) any text in Emacs is in some buffer, so you can usually mark (select) it, kill (cut) it etc.

It's also worth knowing that `G` in Emacs Info viewer is bound to `Info-goto-node-web`, which opens the current page in a web browser. (This only works for Emacs manuals, though.)

Well, not me, of course;-). And Multics Emacs is long dead, the only Emacs that is still alive is GNU Emacs (well, XEmacs is still developed probably, but not many people use it, I guess).
