I see those all the time too well knowing that for me that for me any further promotion is close to impossible. One thing that happened a few years ago was that I was on an improvement project that supposedly saved the company millions of d

One thing I have learned in almost 30 years of SW development: work somewhere where the CEO has at least a basic idea of your work and sees value in your work, not just cost. Work somewhere where people care for the craft and it’s not only

There are plans for doing spectrography on the atmospheres of these planets. This would allow us to get a pretty good picture of the chemical composition. Biological life as we know it should leave a different footprint than a lifeless pla

I find this pretty scary. In all dictatorships of the past and present there were ways for people to do things the dictatorships didn’t know. They could meet and communicate with each other. Soon it may be possible to know where any pers

I think people would care more see if they could see how much data on them companies have, where it goes and what it's used for. I think they don't really understand the extent of the data collection and selling.

"I actually think society as a whole is rather optimistic on climate change: currently we aren’t even trying to solve it policy wise. " I think a lot of people have given up.

Yeah, from what I have seen an NP overruling a doctor is a big No, No.

I think there is something to be said that you shouldn't be a hypocrite if you speak out publicly about something. For example it really bothers me when people like the U2 singer talk about climate change while flying around in private

When I bought my Kia it definitely was a problem to get the low end model. There was just one base model on the lot vs. many cars fully decked out. I guess not many people buy base model these days.

Correct it by shipping keyboards that don't break.

Extended warranty is bullshit if you have to waste time going to the Genius Bar and then having your keyboard break after the warranty. That was the minimum possible thing they could do to avoid lawsuits.

I think if you preach about something you first should clean your own house. For example I would have liked Cook to address the recent keyboard problems openly or discuss the TouchBar that nobody seems to like. I feel like he is opportunist

Makes total sense to me. If you have the power to decide on the treatment and hospital admission of a patient you have a patient-doctor relationship. If they want to reject responsibility they also should not have stated an opinion without

Agreed. Seeing people as completely "evil" or "not evil" is a big mistake. For example a lot of people think that if someone has nice family and goes to church he is a "good man". But plenty of these people hav

It’s something the organization needs to decide. If you automate a process it means you are setting it in stone and lose flexibility . Maybe that’s a good thing or not but something people need to be aware of and accept.
