Can you expand more on the ffi piece? Using CGO has never been fun. Will this expose threads and allow for C interop that is easier to reason about? Can I dream of using this version of Go for all of my "wrap this C lib in a nicer Go e

Been feeling a little miffed about this recently. Litestream is excellent but if you have multiple writers your db gets corrupted. Quite easy to do with rolling deploys. LifeFS was announced and is intended to help this. Now seems like ( ht

I'm a little unfamiliar with how Plex routing works. Would this make it so that your plex connected media servers don't need to be publicly routabel and the Plex app will know to connect through the tailscale network? Would you ne

I thought people sometimes used forks just like another form of star. Save the repo for later review. I have so rarely seen any commits or changes when someone forks my public github repos. It's weird to think about github actions cron

I believe 37Signals is replacing their Capistrano-based deploy for Basecamp with MSRK. It seems they're keeping their k8s deploy setup for Hey. (Just what I'm inferring from the first two paragraphs here: https://world.

I mean I think part of the difficulty with understanding/using Nix is that you can do anything with it. You could set up a nix shell with all the dependencies you need to build the libraries, then build them "outside" of nix

Then you'd need to run and maintain Postgres, which is much more complicated, not just a single database file. Postgres also can't be embedded (according to some brief googling), so you'd need to run it as a separate process.
