You know why I'm harsh now? Because this is just a small community. They are dealing with a mass-market product - if they discover the things that piss off customers now, they will know better how to do things in the future. Yes, hardware i

This is pissing me off more and more. How do I know that these "premium" features are not the actual features that I want? They may just give me the bare minimum, and since I already invested $50, they now try to squeeze more money out of m

I want my money back, and I'm going to request it till they do. I feel cheated - fitbit is shipping, and what the hell is this bullshit about premium analytics?! When I pre-ordered there was no indication that there was going to be a monthl

I just looked it up: http://code.google.com/p/imdbotty/source/browse/trunk/gadget... It seems that the html is server-side preprocessed before being displayed in the gadget, if I am correct in assuming those are template tags. So that wou

Can wave gadgets not render standard html? I never thought of the scrubber thing, but you're right, it would be pretty nifty. Is it not possible to simply push the current html you have into a wave?

That's pretty cool. I'll see if there are parts from your project that I can steal. You know what I'd love your project to do? To post the sales report to google wave. I wonder how hard that would be. Can you estimate?

At the bottom of the site I've listed a bunch of things I'm planning for the future. If anyone can come up with ideas on what would make for a really good sales grapher, please do comment.

High Speed Rail between cities make a lot of sense, but what if the city you are arriving at does not have a public transportation system? For example, what would be the point of a high speed rail between Dallas and Houston? How would you g

Okay, someone a bit more intelligent than me should correct me on this: Are most poisonous plants not bitter or foul tasting? Also, apart from mushrooms, don't they usually signal their poison? Why does a plant develop poison if not to disc

In the U.S.A, public transit is not feasable. I was in Texas a while back - compared to Europe, things are just way too far apart to make trains or subways feasable. I also lived in China for a while, and in China you mostly travel by bus.

The changes affected responses to the emails, which are a lot more than actual sales. Sales increased with more responses/communication with leads.

It depends on the amount of competition in the area. There are developer tools where you have 2-3 companies and they all do this.

The income stream from new customers in this business is not so high anymore (I think maybe $700 or a bit less a month), and I firmly believe that even though it's okay to play dirty when breaking into something new, afterwards go back and

You sure about that? Imagine there are 6 or 7 vendors selling a component you need for your software. Most are sending you form replies. With one you are talking to a real person who emails you and answers your questions promptly, and speak

I find it difficult to understand why you would want to do this exact thing that a lot of other companies have done and you are not even innovating. It looks very similar to twitter or yammer - could you not have used them as a base to reth

That's how the chinese system works. It's a communist country with a communist party and a controlled economy: it's not a suprise if this happens. If you don't like such a system that's fine, protest the system, but don't protest a tiny par
