This is great. I have 100+ ebooks/pdfs of programming and textbooks of which I've been extracting the index pages of. My intention was to always make some sort of search index out of them. I will definitely be trialing this (initi

I wonder if they asked him algorithm problems in his interview /s This is cool though. I'll be curious to see what he works on.

Haskell? I feel like I haven't seen it much. Interestingly though I just started to learn it, so I would like to see it more.

Yeah, exactly what I'm moving towards. I've also started using the mdnotes plugin [0] to extract the annotations to markdown if I desire. [0] - https://github.com/argenos/zotero-mdnotes

Completely agree on both points. Another thing for me is just grabbing a paper and a pen and knowing that's all I can do for the next X minutes. No digital distractions possible.

A mix of things that are constantly changing. I like Polar for reading, storing, and annotating them - but I'm considering moving away from it. I also use Zotero for storing meta data about the papers because it has a really great auto

Very interesting. So would you potentially see Polar as being able to create bibliographies from the metadata? Or just storing it?

Agreed. I've personally never used Roam, as I definitely need my files to be in some form of plain text. Obsidian is cool in my eyes because I can start it up and click around if I want (more of review tool and looking at a cool graph)

Great work! Can you expand on the Zotero integration? I like Polar for reading/annotating more than Zotero, but the metadata import and bibliography functionality of Zotero is extremely useful to me. Combining these in some way would b

I was curious what was different about this than Roam/Obsidian/ect. and checked the FAQ: > Dendron is a highly opinionated note taking tool that focuses on hierarchal note taking. It provides the freedom of Roam’s every note ex

The simple fact that this has an aluminum body will make me upgrade to it eventually. I'm super tired of glass backed phones because I have broken every single one I've ever owned.

Jeff Geerling has some great and very detailed write ups on this. To quote directly from his post: "The results really speak for themselves. For sequential operations, using a USB SSD is 3-4x faster than using a microSD card."[0]
