In the article, it mentions that the password are hashed using SHA-512. As has been mentioned before, using such a fast hashing scheme for passwords is a terrible idea. Any idea as to why they do it this way? (instead of using bcrypt)

Have you done any benchmarks regarding inter-GPU memory bandwidth (i.e. GPU1->GPU2) vs. GPU1->host->GPU2? I am working on multi-gpu problems, which are often throttled by bandwidth limitations. Does the new SDK have examples o

I remember reading something about an anesthesiologist who got into hacking the scheduler targeting desktop use cases. He generally said that the scheduler gets a lot more attention from people who care more about server work loads and suc

From things I've read on Steve Jobs, he seems equally interested in the industrial of building the products he designs[1]. I've also heard their lead designer Jonathon Ives talk a lot about materials and how to use them, which I think under

Is this a result of the refactoring of gcc for >4.5 such that it supports a more plugin style/modular architecture? It would seem that targeting gcc's intermediate representation and using its optimizers and backend would be a powerful

Some people in academia I know use it, and it really suits them. It types like a real macbook, but weighs 2/3 of a normal macbook. For traveling around and such, it seems very practical.
