To paraphrase MKBHD, only buy devices for the features they have right now. Otherwise you will often be disappointed.

Apple is marketing to everyone and not just the HN crowd. For many people their phone is their only computing device and for them an iPad is likely a big upgrade. When I have to proof photos or do a bunch of office type work, an iPad has be

It's hard to convey just how revolutionary the original voodoo cards were. There aren't many times in my life where there was a clear line of before and after, but this was one of those times.

Sure, but will it have anything to do with the modem feature set? I guess there could be a second order competition effect where people buy iPhones for the C1 instead of a different phone with a qualcom modem.

Unfortunately it’s not a real challenge since Apple probably won’t sell their modems for other phones, and Apple will use their own modem even if it’s lacking in some way.

1P family sharing and 1P cli also work well. I check BW every so often but it always feels less polished UI wise. For all the complaints people had about 1P moving to electron, it’s UX is still the best out there.

Don't forget cutting NOAA right as hurricane season is kicking off. The IRS thing was particularly stupid. OMB has a report that said for every $1 put towards tax fraud enforcement they received some $4-$7 in return.

Add in Trump implementing isolationist policies that only help China by allowing them to fill those gaps left by the US. Then there's Musk who Tweets nonsense 24/7, but somehow never says a bad word about China. Propaganda victory

I was able to run and use the DeepSeek distilled 24gb on an M1 Max with 64gb of ram. It wasn't speedy, but it was usable. I imagine the M3/4s are much faster, especially on smaller, more specific models.
