I also had the original Voodoo card. It's rare to see a before and after divide in history so clearly. When I played Quake (and ran the time test) the first time on that Voodoo, I knew computer gaming had changed.

That's a good point. I never ran in my original Frees, but they were my goto lifting shoe. I had other shoes (Brooks Ghosts) for my running, and yet a different shoe for basketball. Your post also reminded me of the comical toe shoes.
