I had a play around with your F# implementation so its abit cleaner and uses abit more fsharp-ish style: https://gist.github.com/mattchamb/20019b22ae841ff5ce1b Im not sure if it is any faster though; as each run varies

Awesome, thanks for the answer. That makes sense to just leave indexing the stack up to the user. Same with letting the user do some legwork to find the address of the function. Have you considered the (sort of edge) case when arguments are

Hi oleavr Sorry, I'm at work so I don't have much time to investigate, but how does it know what the arguments of the functions are? Is it just walking the stack until it finds something that looks like a return address, then assu

I also have a little bit of (indirect) experience with software dev for ATMs, although it was in south east Asia. They were running Windows XP, and once you opened up the case you could just plug in a keyboard and mouse. From what I remembe

Very interesting article. I work in writing some financial software (consumer facing) and I have never actually read about how the banking system works. Just the other day I was writing some code to make SWIFT transfers.

I am both a current Tekpub, and former Pluralsight subscriber. I agree with your opinion about the quality of pluralsight. The reason I ditched my pluralsight subscription was because there is a lot of sub-par videos on there. Even though t

Good spotting, it looks like I didn't read it thoroughly enough and misinterpreted it as a result. This does take away a bit of the power from this kind of licensing, but even so, playing co-op online with a single friend who hasnt bou

>How does one define family? How do they prove it That is something I am also wondering. The worst case would be that they ask for proof of a familial relationship of any form. That is something even I am not prepared to give Microsoft.

I agree with you about carrying around discs being easy. I am based in New Zealand, and carrying around a disc is alot easier and cheaper than always downloading the game. I think downloading games is an incidental feature when the game lic

I agree, but that that is a problem with the distribution method, not the licencing model. The most reasonable answer to this would be that the game disc can be used to install on any console, but only allow that disc to confer a licence on

Im probably going to lose what little karma I have for saying this, but the XBox One's licensing model is more attractive to me than the PS4's model. I'm getting all of my information from here: http://news.xbox.co

I have actually read the majority the AI book, it was the course textbook for the AI paper I did at university. The reason it is there is because I want to re-read parts for a project that I have never started.

I work for a company that does the banking websites for several major banks (not going to mention any names here). We have a few customers who have quite low password length limits. There isn't any technical reason for this. We provide a co
