I am aware and have a rate limit rule for the AI bot category configured in Cloudflare which defaults to returning a 429. But I was mostly being sarcastic. No other bots are this aggressive. I see tens of thousands of hits per day from othe

That tracks. I've been having issues lately with excessive traffic causing high CPU utilization for my small site. 859,530 requests yesterday reached the server (past any CDN caching) of that 160,602 of the request were from openai. T

All reusable dental tools have to go through a sterilization procedure after every use so would it matter? And they could have one-time use sleeves to put on the arms. I think the main concern would be debris and drool getting on the camera

I think there is also a tree maintenance issue, the same problem that lead to fires in California. I'm 2 blocks from where one of the tornados touched down during the derecho and close the transmission lines that were heavily damaged.

I'm in the affected area. The contractors that they used to install the last mile fiber didn't do a great job. They not only damaged other cables like the coax but "buried" isn't how I'd describe the fiber. In

I think you could argue that long term lack of kindness at all levels of an organization leads to organizational technical incompetence. It creates hostile work environment where employees don't feel valued which leads to talent attrit

Funny that you mention MariaDB. Oracle bought MySQL which was forked into MariaDB. MariaDB created the Business Source License (BSL). Hashicorp switches Terraform to BSL which then leads to Terraform being forked into OpenTofu. OpenTofu see

Given that he optimized his training for swimming and not cycling I think he might do better with fins. His top speed of 7.2 - 9.6 km/h is freestyling without fins. He reached somewhere around 13 km/h using a Lunocet monofin.

The real question is how is GPTBot finding all the other subdomains? Currently the sites have GPTBot disallowed, https://www.web.sp.am/robots.txt If GPTBot is compliant with the robots.txt specification then it can't r

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the technical requirements for the age system that this law requires? I'm assuming it's something more complex than "enter your birthday".

I think AARoads might be a good example. https://slate.com/technology/2023/12/wikipedia-road-highway-... To me the main argument for decentralized wikis is when a community wants to capture deep subject focus

Sounds like you are describing a diet resort/spa, have you already looked into them? Personally I'd suggest moving to a new environment that is more conducive with your health goals.

Developers and many other content creators have. I held onto a 4:3 aspect ratio laptop as long as I could when 16:9 was becoming a thing. I'm typing this on a 16:10 (2560 x 1600) ThinkBook. 3:2 (2256 x 1504) is also common for smaller

robots.txt being an honor system has always been a bit weird and search engine treatment is odder still. Google will still index your disallowed pages but refuse to show a description since they are couldn't read the page. The premise

Not sure why that would matter, complaining about content in response to an article about infrastructure doesn't make any more or less sense if the infrastructure is available as a service. But I do consider some of what Netflix does t
