The actual malice standard was first defined in a case involving media (the NYT, as it happens), but it applies to anyone , including you.

With Karabiner, I never have such issues. Caps Lock becomes a normal key. The light is never on. Caps are never. actually locked. It's a key that's drastically oversized compared to it's barely measurable amount of regular us

Oh, don't underestimate the longevity of the no-floppy and especially the no-ethernet complainers. Just as one data point: there are non-ironic gripes about those decisions in this very thread .

That's a lot of emotion for some decision I wouldn't even have noticed. (Not a single 32bit app, as I found out). But, anyway, if you want to use decades-old software, why are you so keen on updating to the latest MacOS?

I do know where the keys are, but don't know what the Function keys do in 90%+ of the software I use. Even where I use keyboard shortcuts frequently, such as VSCode, the Function keys are not really involved because they are rather far

It really doesn't seem like the EU membership of, say, Portugal has anything to do with these problems. That organisational chart may appear overly complicated, but it's no different than any other chart for any other project of

There's nothing wrong with switching to FF, but I feel Google is getting an awful lot of somewhat undeserved accusations. Specifically, lots of people interpret all changes in Chrome as attempts to (directly) bolster Google's adve

Funny how you seem to be tortured by even the idea of Safari, while I (and millions of other people) use it every day and haven't even noticed these supposed atrocities.

Apple really doesn't care about those $100/year or even all the hardware all developers in the world together buy. So you have to wonder why they require people to jump through these hoops, and a wish to focus on native, high-qu

I don't think they are even hiding their motivation. It's basically why Chrome exists, as well: Google needs the open web to stay competitive with native apps, because they only earn money on the web. There isn't really anyth

It's been a while, but IIRC at the time Rails got started MySQL actually did not even support foreign key constraints. Since that was the DBMS of choice, it wasn't much of choice.

> Foreign key violations are 100% data corruption Sure, yes, of course, who cares? These are self-imposed rules, so breaking them is wholly up to yourself. And there are trade-offs involved that may often make it acceptable relax them. Y

Did you even read your own quote? 2/3 of the attacks it mentions were perpetrated against muslims. If you check the Wikipedia link above, the tally is 13 to 1 in 2018, as but one example.

Two stereotypes, each about a decade old. The rumors about the impending doom of freedom on MacOS is as old as Mac OS X. At this point, it's the slowest conspiracy in history. People don't prefer MacOS because they are idiots who
