Intriguing approach. Anyone know if there's a write-up somewhere from somebody that's tried it? It's always helpful to learn from the gotchas others have run into.

Small kids are a lot more work than many people realize. Ditto building a business. Trying to do both at once without being financially independent first is not a choice anyone should make if they can help it.

That blog is the perfect example of how to create content that provides compelling value for your target market, and establishes credibility for your product. Great stuff! Have you tried publishing a column in newspapers and the like that f

Excellent and very informative post. I'd love to see the things SureSwift needed for due diligence and their hand-over list - it would be a good checklist of things you need to have squared away to ensure a smooth transaction.

I think you'll find that in the cases when it worked, the people involved were in the same city or otherwise able to work together physically at least part of the time. I feel it's the only way to build a relationship.

Lots of good points, but one thing still keeps me off this particular train: .NET does not (yet?) have the same level of availability of high quality free libraries that other major platforms do. Things like image processing, database DSLs,

I have yet to find anything quite as nice as SSMS for Postgres, but Navicat for PostgreSQL is pretty good. It's not free, but its not expensive and has features I feel are worth paying for such as being able to diff schemas or data acr

It looks like Gatsby generates a static site as a SPA? What's the advantage of that approach over multi-page sites generated with Jekyll, Hugo, etc.?

Any standouts that you recommend? I ask because the two we were given are a bit ordinary. Perhaps there's a wide variance in quality of her books?

Just put one or zero in the salary field(s). No company worth working for is actually checking your salary history. Resorting to entering '; DROP TABLE candidates; -- will definitely get your application rejected though.

I like this concept a lot, but like most choropleth maps (i.e. maps that color-code a state or county for a given value), it's misleading because the this is really city-level, or even suburb-level data. I'm not sure what the bedt

And. Make it possible to do the process online for all three credit reporting agencies (one of them still requires a phone call). Having to pay and spend at least 20 minutes on the phone to lift your credit freeze because is just ridiculous

I have, but it has had datepicker as "shipping real soon now" for at least six months. Not confidence inspiring. Wouldn't it be nice if UI components (and just as importantly, their styling) was decoupled from the JS framewor

True, to an extent. You are right in that that residents of SLC (plus similar areas like Park City and Ogden) are politically disenfranchised due the state being something of a theocracy. However, SLC itself is actually pretty liberal and h

A reasonable choice to be sure, but I do disagree on the weather and mass transit part. Atlanta's urban sprawl means that fewer residents live near a transit stop than in most cities of comparable size. And the weather - obviously that

Step 1: Create a "reverse" income statement to test whether the basic concept is financially viable. Step 2: Talk to at least 10 potential customers to assess the idea. Make sure most are people who don't feel obligated to be

This highlights something about our industry that I find a little weird. Collectively we want to be respected as professionals, yet feel it's ok come into work whenever it pleases us despite its impact on the team. In my view, a true p
