No argument here. I was only stating how attribution occurs when reading studies.

I think your snark is understandable in this case. It’s a really solid life skill to be able to frame your own experience as not being the norm. It’s relatively easy to fall into the trap of thinking that how you use a tool is the only way

The environmental impact of having children is mostly attributed to the children, though. You don’t reduce your own impact much by not having children, by that measure. You do reduce overall impact in the short term, naturally.

This was a solved problem when we had intermissions, but these days the experience is optimized for shorter films with more showtimes.

Your comment adds nothing useful to the discussion, as GP never said it was a matter of cost. I am in the same boat and it’s about convenience and/or the loss of what we currently have. Netflix both raised prices and reduced what you g

> U.S family size hit an all-time low (3.13) in 2003 Do you have a reference for this? Would love to see what the metric is based on (e.g. does it assume two parents, meaning 1.13 children).

Perhaps I am reading the report incorrectly, but isn't $6bln the total IAP market revenue? (Never mind, I see you corrected your post)

Possibly. Their annual revenue [0] seems to be peaking in the low-to-mid ~six~ nine digits. [0] https://www.statista.com/statistics/1249220/rovio-revenue-se...

I assume the downvotes are because the reply attempts to "correct" what the author wrote as satire (or another similar term if you don't feel "satire" is accurate here).

The news today is that the existing prouducts will no longer function. The actual product line was discontinued in 2021.

There are (unfortunately) at least two common connotations when it comes to “tabletop games”. One is what you’re saying, but the term is also used to specifically mean games like D&D (when using minis), Warhammer, and Battletech. Gloomh

I would be surprised if such a generalization is useful, since metabolism varies and is integral to the effects.

Good discussion on this at https://old.reddit.com/r/askmath/comments/10a2xmc/do_corners... One of the requirements is that you have to clearly define whether your n-dimensional object is a solid.

I wouldn’t sweat it too much unless he is struggling in school or showing a lack of interest in his studies. The value of a degree in any of the sciences translates easily to many careers.

This rings very true to me. There is a huge difference between waiting in line for “now I’ll be able to get online anywhere” and “now I’ll be able to use the next generation of wireless broadband” let alone the smaller increments most years

“A countable set of real numbers” is more appropriate as there isn’t a single countable set of real numbers. Much like the set of real numbers is “a real set of numbers” but not the only such set.

Care to elaborate? As written, your comment can come off as rather ageist/sexist, which is a shame if you meant a specific trend.

Similar approach here. Adblockers and permissive loading of JS by domain are the only steps I bother with. Anything else is coincidental or done for security/peace of mind.

If you have income automatically set aside for investments and savings, you already have a lightweight budget in the form of "I set aside X% or $Y every month and the rest is discretionary."
