Here is a quick edit that you should make. Where you write: > In laments terms You probably want to write: In layman's terms "In layman's terms" is an idiomatic way of saying, simply put, or explaining something to so

You must encrypt the logs at Rest. Also, if you are dealing with a production issue with HIPPA logs, you must keep them on the machine. You can't send anything in an email, send a stack trace over a messaging client, or put them into J

It's possible to not use the CDN when you are developing in your local environment, and use the CDN in your production environment. That way you can keep developing even when you are on an airplane.

I think that is what they are doing with celery. Each server has 92 celery workers. Each worker runs in its own process. Each worker takes tasks off of a queue and completes them.

You need root for tcpdump. I don't think you need it for strace. In these situations, you want to reproduce the issue in an environment, where you have root access.

There weren't very many PhD programs for Computer Science in 1968. A quick Google search reveals the first US Computer Science Phd was awarded in 1965. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Kenneth_Keller

I think SF is building the Central Subway pretty quickly. It looks like the subway will be completed in a few years. It seems like a success in terms of putting new infrastructure in a crowded city. The BART SFO extension took about 30 year

If the interest rate is at 7 percent, then inflation will probably be between 5 and 10 percent. There would be other opportunities in an economy that will yield more than 7 percent, if the bank is offering 7 percent. Additionally, the infla

Ok, I see the difference. You suggest that the continuation token, is basically an encoding of the query parameters, to fetch results from the API. If you go with this approach, then you don't have to store any state on the server. Thi

I like this approach, but this requires storing the rest of the enumeration. I think that you would want to the continuation token to expire after a reasonable period of time (10 minutes to 1 hour). When the token expired, you would remove

You should look at a RUM(Real User Monitoring) solution. It involves putting a javascript tag on your web page, and it captures your end users load times, and usually their location.

Yes, I agree. I think the biggest win for HTTP/2 is multiplexing the requests over a single TCP connection. The average web page downloads over 1MB of data over 80 to 100 Http requests. Each request is requires its own TCP connection.

The event model that Nodejs uses is the same as the twisted framework. The twisted framework is more mature, but does not have as many developers and a growing ecosystem like the nodejs. I don't think this is due to any problems with t

The figure 779,000 makes sense if you could take a programmer today and have him travel back in time to 1999. While the programmer was back in 1999 he(or she) would have access to everything that is available in 2014. The programmer would h

I suspect that Nodejs is taking market share away from Rails and Django. It makes sense though. You can do your entire stack in a single language and the event loop in Nodejs scales better, than a Django WSGI deployment. I'm not sure h
