Oof. I've had nightmares about the project.pbxproj file. Such a weird design decision on Apple's part.

NIBs in macOS/iOS are horrible for development and code review. Using a UI to build UI is slow and clunky. There is no "moving past" it. That's a bad way to develop stuff. We don't do it with HTML, do we? No.

Didn't call anyone a Nazi, except the Nazi, who just won a Republican primary. Try again.

What Obama did was very, very different. The fact that you don't know this (or ignored it) tells a lot about how biased you are. And yes, there should be backlash against conservatives. They just elected a Nazi in Illinois.

1. Correct. 2. Incorrect. 3. Incorrect. An embryo is completely dependent on another life to live. Nobody has the right to enslave another person against his/her will. Try again.

Seems that with every release, Android falls further and further behind iOS. Every iOS release is jam-packed with huge new features. One of the "top" features of this release is... a notch? Do we still have to deal with 4+ messagi

How in the world is this a potential business? Has YC gone down the drain? Dear lord. This is a clock for christ's sake.

I'd bet few people will turn down an opportunity because of a couple hours spent working on a project. If they got this far in the interview process they should already know if it's a place where they wanna work. This is needless

Doesn't that prove slack doesn't work? What is the point of channels if the average person has to ignore them to get any work done? Coming back later really doesn't help (at least for me). Because chats are interspersed throu

I'm remote from time to time. I really can't think of how the synchronous nature of Slack helps anything. If you need real-time chat, it's faster and more productive to have a phone/video call. If it's a long chat w

Nobody uses threads, look at any public slack. They are too difficult and unfriendly to use. The entire idea of a "thread" is broken in the slack ecosystem if you can just post in the channel without starting a new one. It makes n

Yeah, that's my problem. The tiny sidebar is not a great UX. The core problem, I think, is the lack of real threading options. Conversations never really start or end in a chat room, so even if you find the keyword you are looking for,

Another reason to dump this fad. I've been using slack for my jobs for years, and it wastes more time than saves. No real work gets done in a chat room, which is what slack is. It's a shame a private, bad experience is so popular

Features != bloated. JS has many, many, many shortcomings. I don't have 100+ libraries to do basic stuff that should be baked in.

Subsidized "affordable" housing does more harm than good. We need more housing, period. Removing market-rate places for these subsidized ones just raises the price for everyone.

The public benefits to a working transit system are nearly innumerable. The benefits to VC money funding Uber benefits the owners of Uber and exactly nobody else, while we all see more traffic, congestion, pollution, waste, and more.
