Just one experience here, but my old 6s used to shut down quite a bit once it neared the lower end of the battery life.

Great to see. Any javascript project of reasonable size quickly eventually collapses under its own weight.

I'm just saying the moving of people throughout cities and neighborhoods is a very natural thing. Someone no longer being able to afford things in their neighborhood is not inherently a bad thing. Responsibly adults should be able to m

Then people need to adjust their living styles. "Forced" is the wrong term here. Either you can afford your apartment or not. Nobody deserves cheap rent.

People have a responsibility to live within their means. IF they can't afford their house/apartment, so be it. I really fail to see the problem here.

They are only "forced" if you believe they were originally entitled to live there at a certain price. Which, in a market economy, they were most certainly not. The moral argument around gentrification is a weak one. Gentrification

Sorry, but gentrification takes decades. Nobody is walking up to a door and dragging poor old grandma out. Nobody is entitled to live in a certain community for a certain price. That road leads to a planned (and failed) economy.

Some pain for sure. Others make a cool 500k now that their house is no longer next to a meth lab.

Why are people entitled to live in a certain community just because they have been there for a long time? At what point do I get to lay claim to my house and force my city to allow me to live there for a subsidized price if I can't aff

Knock against me all you want, that's fine. I understand storyboards just fine. I also understand that they are a poor way to build apps. Drag and drop WYSIWYG interface crap is what I did in high school to make webpages. Creating a pr

Love SnapKit. Agreed on the weird XML stuff though. What I loved about Android XML was the live preview stuff. Made dev much, much faster.

I do, actually. Have been for about 6 years. I don't want a WYSIWYG editor for UI. No other platform does this. Because it doesn't scale. Tried to merge storyboards before? Ha. Even programmatically...I'm sorry, but nobody ca

I don't disagree. I just fail to see how it warrants an entire department with (I'm sure) 4+ highly paid admins. Every dep at my college was horribly bloated.

Seems that the problem is the existence of departments like the "Office of Diversity and Campus Engagement". It's a school. Why are these needed? To pad tuition?

So helpful, but it's crazy to me that Apple provides such horrible options for creating UI for iOS. AutoLayout is verbose confusing mess and using storyboards is a disaster. Why can't we have simple declarative markup to create UI

Searching in slack is a dumpster fire due to the nature of a chat room (which all slack is). It is impossible to group bits of useful information together. Once a chat gets going in a room about topic A there is absolutely no way to separat

Exactly. 99% of workplace coms don't need to be synchronous. Slack assumes that they do. Thus you get tons of noise and chatter and the feeling that you have to check it all the time. Hell, even the idea of a chat room isn't produ

Sometimes it's sad to see these also-ran phones and tablets. So much work, time, money with so little payoff. Android has stagnated so much it's really not worth it anymore.

Really, only a handful of people care about benchmarks. Phones are no longer "computers". They are personal items that we all depend on. Processors and RAM simply don't matter. iPhones are worth more than any other phone 2 ye
