Rough estimate: I got the LED panels from AliExpress ( https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255799924064579.html ), the price fluctuates from around $10-$12 each x 12, so round up to $150 for the lights. They practically give

I built an LED scrolling sign in my basement using the same 8x32 panels as the OP, controlled by the more-than-fast-ish-enough ESP32. I never got around to making a proper video about the construction and installation, but I do have this de

I think this title is misleading for a post about your personal experience, without a news article or an announcement. I don't really even understand what you're saying.

The one that really surprised me for some reason was PCB manufacturing. The Strange Parts YouTube channel has a few tours of Chinese factories, and I guess I pictured that it's just some sort of giant clean room with a long conveyor be

It's just stereo. I don't know how it works, I'm not opticist, but I assume there's some kind of math involved. Or maybe it diminishes the 3D effect but it's still enough to look interesting.

I played around with this when it came out in the beta: https://youtu.be/08hoyiHTxis It took a few steps to get it out of the phone and onto YouTube in a way I could watch it in my VR headset, but the result is kind of nift

I think they claim 5 years. I don't keep track of this stuff very carefully but based on how long I've had them and being on my second round of battery replacements, I'd say I got more like 3-4 years. It's not that big a

I just counted, I have 10. I thought it was 11, and I rounded up. Anyway, the exact math wasn't my point, but that lithium primary batteries are very expensive. Ironically, I just got a price alert that they're down to $46.64, exc

The voice of the battle-weary maintainer comes through clearly in this one. I can't imagine the burden of being responsible for something as widely used as curl. Ok, I can kind of imagine it, or I wouldn't be writing this comment.
