I'm not sure that follows. That would imply that every kid has already had/been exposed to COVID and that's resulted in those per 100k numbers. It's definitely not exact to use the infection as the denominator, but I

Can you help me understand why the case count isn't the denominator? The posted numbers seem to imply that if 37k out of 100k kids had covid, 287 of them end up in the hospital. Does it not follow that if 100k out of 100k had covid tha

Even with your numbers it puts a kid's chances of ending up hospitalized with covid at 1 in 128. Granted we're probably way under counting infections in that age group, but I'll still feel much better when my kid is vaccinate

Read the plan very carefully. The reason these plans are cheap is usually because they can and do take advantage of things the ACA specifically outlawed -- rescission, lifetime caps, claim denial, the aforementioned lack of preexisting cond

Wouldn't the size of the contact patch be dictated entirely by tire pressure and not tire size? A 100lb person+bike and 100psi inflation means 1 sq inch of contact regardless of tire dimensions. They're circles on a plane, after a

I miss the days of buying hardware and that being my entire contribution to the company. Now everything is subsidized to extract money in other ways. I love the simplicity of my Rokus but I don't see their business model succeeding lon

I still have my TI-85 from high school on my desk with batteries that expire in 2023. 2013 sounds about right for when I last put fresh batteries in it. Admittedly I use wabbitemu with a TI-85 ROM on my phone so I don't reach for my ph

This report [1] seems to imply that around 35% of minor crashes aren't reported which is significant, but not enough by itself to move the needle too much. Another factor is highway vs surface miles. Highway miles would seem significan

Shiller Price/Earnings[1], probably. It looks at the previous 10 years of earnings to do a P/E to try to even out the earnings and get a better picture. But I'd imagine even just normal P/E ratio would be better... [1]

They can be meshed, but you need to set them up wired first. The UAP-AP is 2.4Ghz only, the UAP-AC-PRO also supports 5Ghz. The UAP-AC-LITE has fewer MIMO antennas but also supports 5Ghz.

We are in the mainframe/terminal era of AI right now. Just like with early computing we don't yet have the local resources to do AI locally, so we're using terminals accessing the cloud. The consequence is our data also lives
