Interesting table. One more column would be great, though: number of flags for all these commands in Plan 9 or 9front.

I'm undecided between Tiny Core Linux and NetBSD for an old Thinkpad T42, and I had similar emotions reading NetBSDs Guide a few days ago. Tiny Core is really great (I've been using it for 5-6 years) but: - The T42 needs undercloc

+1. All these "fucks" and "shits" felt pointless, tiresome, not convincing. Overuse of this kind of language often results in a more superficial text imo.

A blast from the past: I would love to read about deliberate use of Perl 5 without CPAN, or with as little CPAN as possible. Being a fan of minimal, clear languages, Lisps, Forths, Rebol etc, I've somewhat unexpectedly found myself imm

Both probably, but it's much less of a problem with books (I do remember eye strain after reading for 3-4 hours in a row, but I suppose this is normal). I have an e-reader, which feels great. And I do wait for e-ink displays with consu

How about Tiny Core Linux [0, 1]? On a typical install it boots to RAM, thus runs really fast, making it perfect for low-end/ancient hardware. One of the main flavors is a 16 MB FLTK/FLWM desktop -- Dillo [2] for web browsing, etc
